Daewoo Vehicles have gone through a slight decrease in their retail price recently. This model has gone through an overall fall in its selling price.
The selling price for Daewoo cars has fallen during the last 6 months we have analyzed. The average price in October was of ₦ 455,106. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at ₦ 448,286 during November. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from ₦ 451,696 to ₦ 433,630.5. In the last two, the price has gone through a -6 % devaluation compared to the previous average values going down from ₦ 442,663.25 to ₦ 415,740 during February and March.
The average price for Daewoo has gone down in recent years. During the first sample analyzed, going from "before 2000" to 2009, the average price was ₦ 436,333.41. Please take note of of the significant depreciation in the prices between "before 2000" (₦ 500,000) and 2009 (₦ 400,000). During the next two years (2010, 2011) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 15 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have experienced a depreciation of -8 % compared to the average prices for the previous 4 years. This has been obtained from prices from the the previous four years in a previous sample (₦ 464,375) and the the last two years analyzed (2013, 2014) with a price of ₦ 425,000.
