The selling price for Mercedes Benz M Class cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. In September the average price per vehicle is ₦ 7,166,667. During October the price went trough a strong deflation till ₦ 2,412,500. The following two months the selling price went through a strong reduction of -65 % compared to the previous two months studied. The average price has had spectacular rise of 30 % with an average price of ₦ 3,225,141.75 during the previous 4 months and ₦ 4,185,000 during the most recent months in January and February.
The average price for Mercedes Benz M Class has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2003 and 2011, the average price is ₦ 1,537,334.12. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2003 (₦ 800,000) moving up till (₦ 1,952,941)in 2011. During the next two years (2012, 2013), the average price went up 11 % moving from !PRECIO1! to ₦ 1,711,041.5, During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 12 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (₦ 1,939,270.75) and the the last two years that were studied (2014, 2015) with a price of ₦ 2,167,500.
