Nissan X-Trail Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Nissan X-Trail cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. The average price in July was of ₦ 1,540,417. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at ₦ 1,590,000 during August. During the following two months (September, October) the average selling price experienced a noticeable rise, going up 39 % from ₦ 1,565,208.5 to ₦ 2,167,950. During the last couple of months, the average price has hardly changed, remaining the same going from ₦ 1,866,579.25 to ₦ 1,851,175.5 during November and December.
The average price for Nissan X-Trail has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2003 and 2005, the average price is ₦ 1,135,555.38. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2003 (₦ 1,033,333) moving up till (₦ 1,973,333)in 2005. During the next two years (2006, 2007) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 106 %. During the last two years, the car industry has had a strong deflation in its selling prices of -35 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This has been obtained from analysing the prices for the the preceding four years in a previous sample (₦ 1,734,375) and the the last two years (2008, 2012) with a price of ₦ 1,125,000.
