Peugeot Vehicles have experienced a considerable decrease in their selling price recently. This model has gone through a strong reduction in its selling price.
The selling price for Peugeot cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. In October the average price per vehicle is ₦ 5,577,000. During November the price went trough a strong deflation till ₦ 4,635,375. The following two months the selling price went through a strong reduction of -39 % compared to the previous two months studied. In the last two months, the price has gone through a strong devaluation of -46 % compared to the 4 previous average values going down from ₦ 4,106,719.5 to ₦ 2,216,832.5.
The average price for Peugeot has had a strong rise in recent years. During the first sample analyzed, going from "before 2000" to 2011, the average price was ₦ 812,920.12. Please take note of of the significant depreciation in the prices between "before 2000" (₦ 610,000) and 2011 (₦ 400,000). Cars belonging to the model aforementioned had a price deflation of -15 percent in the next two years (2012, 2013) compared to the previous two years. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone through a strong rise of 70 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This was taken from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (₦ 2,285,190.5) and the the last two years that have been analyzed (2014, 2015) with a price of ₦ 3,878,500.
The graph that displays the price for Peugeot cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "25,000 - 50,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 77 % more affordable than the average price (₦ 2,232,846). Next with a price of ₦ 550,000 and a mileage range of "50,000 - 100,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most expensive cars is "more than 200,000". It is 7% more costly than the average market value followed by those vehicles with a mileage of "100,000 - 200,000" and a price of ₦ 1,517,964.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for Peugeot cars points out to "Petrol" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 9 % less expensive than the average market price (₦ 2,232,846) followed by "Diesel" priced at ₦ 3,000,000. On average the most expensive type of fuel is "Diesel". It´s price is 34 % higher than the average market price followed by "Petrol" which costs ₦ 2,042,221.
